Ep. 08 | Comment Chaos: Roasting & Roasted Over Viral Feminism Firestorm
[00:00:00]
Welcome legends. Welcome to our first official comment chaos episode. Yes, you are still listening to controversial as fuck podcast, but just in case you missed the memo in case you missed the announcement on Instagram, we have now gone to two episodes a week. So Tuesday episodes will still be the longer form. deep dives into very controversial topics that I know you're here for, and that you're loving.
So absolutely still having those, I found that they definitely are a longer episode because as you know, I do go quite deep into whatever it is that I'm questioning, whatever conversation I'm having, whatever point I want to raise. So yeah, they were taking as you know, over an hour, normally for most of those episodes.
So I wanted to bring a second episode in. And I was like, I don't want to commit to having a full, nother hour episode every single week. I feel like I will eventually get burnt out. So instead of that, I actually had, this is what spurred this idea. I [00:01:00] had a post, an Instagram reel go viral. Right? It went viral. It's it, I think 50,000 views at the moment. But this was over at the space of a couple of weeks.
So at first it was slow moving. And so I was responding to everyone's comments, whether they agreed with me, disagreed with me, whether they were being absolute morons. And wankers. Or whether they had really good points. I was commenting to everybody because I could, and I was actually enjoying it. And then it kind of exploded and the comments went nuts.
I could not keep up with them. And I was like, this is a baptism by fire. I tell you because nor should I try to keep up with them, it's insane. And I realised what it's like to have something go viral. And that was only like I, as I said, it's up to 50,000 views or whatever it's at. I can't imagine what it's like when you have something that's in the millions of views, it must be insane.
But. Anyway. I was like, oh my God, I so want to respond to some of these comments, but I'm not going to, because I don't want to have that vibe of like, needing to have the last say [00:02:00] or trying to prove someone wrong because that's not my goal at all. I think everyone has a right to their opinions.
Everyone has a right to their point of view. I don't think I'm right on everything. And my goal is not to prove someone wrong because their point of view is right to them. But there was some comments was like, I want to discuss this. And then I got this awesome idea. I was like, oh my. Gosh. The second podcast episode that goes live.
Every Thursday needs to be me. Roasting and being roasted by these comments of whatever social platform I'm on. And I'm so, stoked for this. This is going to be a hoot. It's going to be a lot of fun. There's a lot of opinions that are going to be popping off. It's it's fun. So this episode today is dedicated to that viral post and it was actually all about feminism. Now it's not related to my actual feminism episodes that went live.
What was it last week, week before? It's not actually that, right. So I will probably do a whole nother comment, chaos episode [00:03:00] dedicated to specifically that episode into comments and messages and things from that episode, this is actually just Instagram reel that went live before that episode even went live.
So, yeah, we're going to dive into it in a second, but just to set the scene. So you know what we're actually doing. We're going to be looking at all different comments again, whether that's from Instagram, I'm going to be on Tik TOK. If I'm not already, by the time this goes live I'm on YouTube. I also have a Facebook page, so. I'm, across lots of different platforms.
So I will eventually be pulling comments and conversations from all different platforms, but at the moment, it's mainly just Instagram that I'm focused on because that's where I most am. And that's where things have gone a little bit wild. So. Let's dive into.
This is fun. If you want to actually see the post, if you go to my Instagram reels, scroll down.
There's one god you have to go down a little bit. Cause I post quite regularly. There's one of me sitting in a denim dress. It's like a.
What's it called? [00:04:00] Thin strapped kind of denim dress. My hair is a bit lighter because the videos from like a year ago, but yeah, this is what it says on. On the reel. The feminist movement has turned into the, we are better than need to be believed over, paid more than, and trusted over men movement.
Now, obviously you can't put an entire novel on an Instagram reel. So then I had the caption. This is a big topic because the feminist movement has changed drastically over time. And depending on who you speak to, you will get different answers as to what it even is. A half thousand percent I stand by that I'm recording a podcast episode on the feminist movement soon, and we'll be touching on many points, but I'm also the first to admit that I don't know it all, far from it. I will give you my take on it all and my very controversial opinions as to why I never. Want that label, feminist attached. to me, but [00:05:00] I also am so determined to not just create an echo chamber. And the people who are tuning into my podcast, absolute powerhouses, both men and women. who are also highly intelligent and who come up with their own perspectives and opinions in life. They're my kind of people. So I absolutely am down to have someone come on one day to record with me who is a feminist who would like to give their opinions and viewpoints so that my audience is getting all sides. And can see differing opinions on highly contentious topics. Or better yet to get a hardcore feminist and someone who is hardcore, not one and get them to really discuss it.
Or while I sit there with my popcorn and enjoy the show, ha ha. But I will never shy away from voicing my opinion. And as it stands right now, Now I think the feminist movement is an utter shemozzle and to quote Harry Maclary stop this shemozzle this hullabaloo scarper skedaddle be off with you. SHOO I clearly read that book a lot to my young one. And then with a [00:06:00] popcorn emoji and a laughing face.
So, right. I gave more context. I don't know everything about feminism. I'm not here to pretend that I do, but I do stand strongly in my opinions as they currently. The stand. Obviously with reels. The goal is to have a hook that is really, really strong, that gets people to pay attention and to then continue reading your real or. You know, to stay on there for longer to comment, to be part of the conversation.
So obviously I didn't just say, Hey, I'm going to talk about feminism in a podcast soon. Stick around. No, I went with something that was pretty controversial. As I said again, the feminist movement has turned into the, we are better than need to be believed over, paid more than, and trusted over men movement. And then a little pop-up come up at the bottom that says it's a mess out there.
Ladies read the caption for context, right? Still stand by it No, I don't think that the entire, like every single human being out there that calls themselves a feminist believes that they need to be paid more than men. If they're a woman that they need to be [00:07:00] believed over men, blah, blah, blah. I don't think that I'm saying that's how modern day hardcore feminism comes across to me. Let's go through the comments.
So just so you know, That had how many 52,100 views as it stands right now, Instagram also you get little just in case you've never had something go viral. You actually get little things, message to you from Instagram to tell you how many watch hours that post has had. And it has had. 50. Let me check. It says you have earned this achievement because your real go to watch time of 50 hours.
So people have spent 50 hours. Not one individual, obviously across the world, but yeah, it's got a 465 comments overwhelmingly against me. Like. And against what I said, think about it. If there's been over. 50,000 views of this real I've only had 117 likes that point. That paints a picture of how much people [00:08:00] were like, shut up.
You dumb woman. That's basically what I got, but let's go through them because some are really good comments. Now, when I go onto it, obviously it shows me top comments, probably in the order of people I've responded to at light. I'm not going to go through all 400 plus comments, but. Some of them roasts me real good.
And some of them I'm going to roast because they're just at a wankers. We're going to start with one. So this comes up at the top for me on my screen. This is from biz min works. Feminists only support feminists who are their kind of feminists. How do we know? Read the comments. All bullies, weak minded and threatened by a perceived defector pathetically.
True. You were right by the way. Where can I listen in. That I'm glad actually, that, that comes up at the top. Let's start with that because as you go through, and if you look through this post in your own timing, you will see how many people came for me. Now. I'm not suggesting that everyone that has a different viewpoint to me came for me.
Not at all. Some [00:09:00] people pointed out flaws in the way that I view feminism and they had really good. Points of view. And they were like, really well-spoken or, you know, how they wrote their captions. They were amazing. Right. So I don't know. Let me just make that clear. I don't think that every single person that. I was against the way that I think was against me or attacked me, not at all, but there were some real nasty comments through there and this guy's right.
And by the way, he actually reached out and he is now listening to the podcast. So if you're listening in right now, Hello. Michael. It's great to have you here. And I appreciated your comment cause you're bloody right. Then we have M your doula. She said what you are referring to by the way. I think this was a fantastic comment.
What you were referring to needs to be contextualized as white slash capita. Capitalist feminism. The focus being on maintaining the current systems of oppression over lots of different groups, but with certain women being given the chance to have the same opportunities as the men around us. [00:10:00] True feminism is the call to dismantle these patriarchal systems. Through anti-racism de-colonization class solidarity so that every gender has the same opportunities to thrive.
Now there's a bit more, but I would correct one thing, every gender there's only two genders, but I get what she's saying. Secondly, I feel your viewpoint is specific to white capitalist feminism. I have heard that before. That there is a sect of feminism. That do believe that they should be believed over men, you know, trusted over men, earn more than men.
Like just see men as second class citizens. She, yeah, that, that is a thing. And I've heard that it is called white capitalist feminism. She said there are so many women and girls across the world who are being harmed by patriarchal beliefs in very real life-threatening ways. She was very well-spoken.
I appreciated her comment and I let her know that as well. And I said, cheers for your input. I really appreciate it. Is there a specific place you recommend for me to research further on this, I'm intrigued. And I'm going to share this with you now so [00:11:00] that you can hear what she replied. And we had, there was more to it.
She said, you're welcome. I'd highly suggest. Reading works by Audrey Lorde, bell hooks, Angela Davis. There's lots of articles online. If you Google feminism and anti-capitalism, and also look into the term matriarchal society, I'd highly advise following indigenous women or socials for the learning.
They so graciously share with us. You know those back and forth, but I appreciated that she could actually have a genuine. Conversation now. Here we go. I found this next comment. There was a general theme of this with some people. Here we go. Will you people. This is from Melissa Smith foreshore. Will you people kindly get off my feed.
I'd rather be dead than be a Republican.
I said, what are you on about? I'm not even American I'm Australian. And then, you know, there was some back and forth. And someone said you can still be Australian and be [00:12:00] right-winged another guy said, so the down under equivalent of conservative, you know, they made me laugh. Oh, I thought they were quite funny. Here we go.
We've got one from muffin, terror.
What a name? I just think that women who aren't feminists should put their words to action and shut up. Quick voting make zero income. Handover all financial and medical control to their husband. And live that proper anti-feminist life. I said, didn't read my caption. I see. I'm not anti-feminist. I also acknowledged that I don't know at all about the feminist movement. Good has come from it. The my questions arise from seeing what the movement represents today.
Being an absolute joke. Not what it started as it's turned into an absolute beast of its own. And yes, in Australia where I am, women are a hundred percent believed over men. And given preferential treatment, women are put into corporate positions, not because of their skills, [00:13:00] qualifications, and experience, but because they tick the inclusive box. I'm simply raising questions about what the movement has become.
And I encourage questioning on everything. You do get told that a lot, whether it's by males or females, that if you question feminism at all, you honestly are often told to shut up. You know, don't work a job, basically get in the kitchen and be barefoot and pregnant. And it's like, come on guys. And this is why I'm also recording another episode. That goes live soon.
That's all about the first wave of feminism, because it was actually painted. Women were painted in a light that wasn't factually true, that women were seen as highly oppressed prior to, you know, women given the right to vote. And. It's not actually factually true. I'm going to go in depth into that all about the first wave of feminism, but that is something you're here. A lot.
Here's a comment from OSU goods.
Got to love the selective feminism, plenty of opportunities laying asphalt at 96 degrees outside, but almost exclusive. Almost [00:14:00] exclusive males he's written makes, but I think he means males. Women can do those jobs. They don't want to, men and women are different and it's wonderful. I said what I said. Now, I don't know if he meant that to me.
And maybe he misunderstood because obviously not everyone may understand what my post is. I'm actually, dude, I'm actually agreeing with you. He may have been disagreeing with other people in the comments, or he might've misunderstood my posts, but I said, this is my point. Women don't want the same as men.
We're different, biologically different and for good reasons. And yeah, people went back and forth with him a little bit.
Now there's a dude that goes by Jakes. Jake, Jake Sawatzky. I don't even know how to pronounce his name, but Jay we'll call him Jay, which is a great name. I have a relative called Jake, my brother, one of my brothers. Great name. This guy was a pain. He's commented. I think it's the tallies over 30, probably pushing 40 comments.
Now in the beginning, they were all at me and now they're just back and forth with other people, but he did not like my posts nor does he like me at [00:15:00] all. One of the things he kept saying was the pick me energy is beyond crunchy. This is something that you hear a lot. When a woman questions, feminism, she is a pick me as in, she's wanting to be picked by men.
She's wanting attention of men on social media. So she is speaking out against feminism or raising questions about the movement. Therefore, she is a pick me, but if I agree with feminism, then it's all good. If I don't ask a single question, then it's all good. I'll be liked. I'll be seen in good light by everybody.
But the moment I questioned the moment I raised a single question about feminism. It's pick me. I get, I got that a lot. Like women were writing are pick me, daddy, pick me, daddy. Like it was just nonstop. I'm like, listen, love. Listen, dude, I'm not asking just to clarify. I'm not asking to be picked by anybody like that is the least, I'm the least pick me woman out there.
But in saying that if that's the [00:16:00] worst that someone can call me, I will take it. I I'm totally fine with that. But yeah, this dude went w he got very irate, very, very irate about this post.
Another one. And this was a woman.
Why do I keep seeing these Pygmies on my IgG? This was Nanda floor li one. Maybe I should stop trying to say they're IgG handles. I can't pronounce a lot of them, but why do I keep seeing these Pygmies on my IgE? So my response maybe, cause you keep commenting on this stuff.
It's called the algorithm. Love. In case someone listening doesn't understand Instagram. I'm just all the algorithms in general, the more that you've like a type of content or the more you comment on a type of comment, us telling the algorithm of that app that you like it, and you want to see more of it or that you you're going to spend more time on the app if you see more of that content.
Right. So for instance, in Instagram, The people that hated my comment, but kept commenting on. Uh, [00:17:00] the people that hated my post, but kept commenting on it, kept, you know, going back and forth with other people and having their own little micro. It's all across it. They are telling Instagram, I will spend more time on the app of Instagram.
If you show me more of this comment con kind of content. So people that kept saying, why do I keep seeing this type of stuff? Or why do I keep seeing this. You know, um, Republican type of comp content and other one was conservative type of content. Maybe cause you bloody keep commenting. To Wayne cap.
Don't comment, just scroll on with your day and you won't keep seeing it. But I thought that was really funny.
Here's one that really made me cackle. I thought this was hilarious. This is by a guy. This one.
Hence, hence, so Liam will go with that. This is what he said. No, it hasn't. Perhaps you are comfortable being a second class citizen, but we feminists. I [00:18:00] can't even Alicia can't even finish it without laughing, but. But we feminists think freedom is for all, not just for us guys. Oh, bless your cotton socks.
Hang on. What's his name? Hans Lee, but he slash him. Okay. Mr. Hans Lee Liebert. He slash him. I'm not a second class citizen, just because I questioned feminism, dude. Okay. And I get your feminist. As a man, which I think is fucking gross, but yeah, my response to that was, uh, nothing like a male feminist demanding a woman admit she's oppressed.
Um, my God let's have a look.
What else have we got here?
Here we have one from autumn chill, underscore T w M U M U. Nope. This is the mindset that straight males have that justify their hatred for feminism. Most feminism I see online or just girls [00:19:00] wanting to feel safe and take them serious. Even with all this movement, women still make up way less of a percentage in leadership roles, CEO and presidents. They may have a point by the way, the part that I would debate about this is saying that this is just the mindset of straight males.
I'm a straight woman, and I have this opinion. And I said, look, I'm listening, but I've got to say I'm a straight woman and I can see it for sure. Some in the feminist movement would say they align with the movement because they want to feel safe and to be taken seriously. But could this be because this movement itself has become a massive echo chamber. It's a massive beast of its own.
Now with no clear distinction on what the feminist movement even is anymore. It seems women are now dismissing men all together under the guise of misogyny. When in fact, could it be that now the women have become the very thing. They were apparently fighting against the toxic masculine [00:20:00] ones. I'm not dismissing you by the way.
And I do believe we can see things differently in the world. And we went back and forth. Like I'm not going to, as I said, I'm not going to read a full a hundred comments. Here's another one.
This is from, let's have an attempt of this IgG handle shore bail. We'll go with. Um, Butch spring of rods, IGN is not on purpose. What question mark, were you smoking crack when you made this question?
He's coming at 25 likes. I actually thought that was funny. I thought that was a pretty good comment is just like, he just went straight in, said his points straight out.
He didn't need to do the back and forth. I said cheers for your profound input.
Oh, my God.
Oh, he's another one that cracks me up as well. This is from another dude. Drink with Dave 68. Is this IGA handled? Can you just stop wasting time and make us sandwiches? He's written it as sandwiches, have some priorities, honey. I said, sure. What would you like on it? I do make a killer sandwich. [00:21:00] Like those types of people.
I think they're funny. Like I enjoy having banter. I just wanna make it clear. I enjoy having banter and going back and forth with people. I actually enjoy that. Like, I can have fun with people and I think. My next respectful. And you can take the piss out of each other. Like it's fun. It's lighthearted.
These people are not hating on me. These people aren't, you know, they don't have a war path against me. They're not trying to make my life hell and I'm not going to try and do that to them. It's like we can see things differently. We can take the Mickey out of each other, take the piss out of each other and move on with our days.
I think that's fun. I think that's the whole point of Instagram and these social media accounts is to be able to have fun, have some banter, agree with some people, disagree with some people. Say your opinion, say it politely again, take the piss out of someone and then move on with your day. That's the point?
It's about community, but also about interactions about being social. I have no problem with someone coming on any of my posts and taking the piss out of me, but in a funny, funny way, I actually respect them. I think they're [00:22:00] funny. This was a really good. Point actually by free bird flying. This is a chick, her name's Danny. And she said modern feminism has gone way too far. It is created a hateful self-centered self-righteous kind of woman, I thousand percent in.
Great. She said the constant use of patriarchy and misogyny has become laughable. Most of the time used in wrong context, it's turned into an excuse to have less morals and be loose women in the name of empowerment. Man she's saying this. So I thousand percent agree with her. These are the same people screaming about.
Anyone can be a woman and welcoming men into our spaces while shutting down how women feel. Thus creating a different version of patriarchy. Make it make sense with the slapping forward emoji. I believe in feminism, wholeheartedly, modern feminism, however, it's trash and detrimental to the growth of women's rights and laws. Also then calling you a pick me is [00:23:00] so ironic as they literally play the same role amongst their kind again, make it make sense. She honestly, you win. What was her name again? Danny you win comment of the week for that one.
And not because she agrees with me by the way.
Think of, think about it. I don't consider myself a feminist. Danny does. Daddy says she wholeheartedly believes in feminism in fact, to quote her, I believe in feminism wholeheartedly. Modern feminism, however, is trash and detrimental to the growth of women's rights and laws. A thousand percent. This, like she couldn't have worded it any better.
Absolutely. She gets the comment of the week. Now that we've munched through those comments. Let's. Let's pop over to the next one. this Cracked me up too. It's one actually. You come second. You come second for best comment of the week. This is from the gaffer place. This is a guy called Chris. Let me know when you get over this weird misunderstanding [00:24:00] of what feminism is and has achieved.
Won't you question mark. Probably best if you do. Your proposed podcast without a microphone.
i thought He was a legend I said, ha ha. You have a great sense of humour You at least made me laugh, clapping, and then laughing emoji. By the way. Some of my favorite comments are the ones that come in. And literally write this and there was. Heaps of them. This is from just CYA 2, 4, 6. I disagree. I'm there is something about somebody who can come onto someone's page and just write something short like that.
I have seriously respect for you that you can engage in a conversation. You don't have to turn it into like a hate speech. You don't have to turn into something personal. Like they're not mocking my looks or getting personal about my private life or anything like that. And just literally right. I disagree. I had a lot of comments like that.
Honestly, you, people, I have respect for you. We do. Because [00:25:00] you probably have. A lot going for you new. New life and you're too. Too busy to bother with the whole back and forth going 50 comments, deep into some, you know, some random conversation that's happening on someone's posts out there in the world.
You just say your point, you say it politely and you move on. Or respect to you
then we had a comment by someone that goes by niche-y Martin. You are wrong. This is what they're saying. You are wrong. Full stop. The feminist movement has always been about women making their own choices about their own life. It's that simple. Why are you stepping on other women's necks by sprouting?
This indoctrinated mysogeny question, mark or fire? Fire. Sorry. I did respond to this one. Wrong actually full stop. The feminist movement never started for choice for women. That's called white women feminism. Apparently The movement actually started.
So women weren't regarded as property. And [00:26:00] actually as human. This is what I mean by a massive echo chamber. People can't even agree on why the movement started or what it even is these days. I don't dispute that some good came from the first wave of feminism, but it doesn't even resemble that today it's turned into who's the biggest victim today.
Question mark. And that is a point that I was seeing a lot. So I was always being told that I'm wrong. That feminism started just about twice, that it's all just about choice, about women being able to choose what they want to do in their life. And if I disagree with that, And therefore I'm stepping on women's neck.
So like I'm out to hurt women by sprouting my indoctrinated misogyny. And it's like, you. You can't even agree on why the movement started or what it's about. No one, no one seems to know it is literally a massive echo chamber. Then we have someone by Michael Wilfred Degan he said, but not to stand up to men in women's [00:27:00] sports, you came a long way, baby. I said shocking. Isn't it? Cause he may think that I'm a feminist. Like you got to understand people don't when they see a post, they don't necessarily go and look at your entire profile.
Right. Um, so he may not realize that I don't consider myself a feminist. He probably didn't even read the whole caption, you know? So he's probably thinking that I consider myself a feminist and it's like, no, I actually don't. But he has a point. Women that are consider themselves feminists that agree with just being able to change agenda whenever you want.
And you know, men now being allowed to compete against women in professional sports. Like that is insanity to me. I, that is something I cannot wrap my head around. A hardcore feminist agreeing with biological males being allowed to compete in women's sports. It's nuts to me.
Then we have someone who has the hand or underscore Tel VT, um, well done for having the guts to post this.
There is in fact, a huge undercurrent of women who secretly hate where modern [00:28:00] feminism has gone. But are afraid. And then in brackets and rightly so, even with the comment section, Of being ostracized by women for saying anything so many key, quiet, not much of a movement. If you can never question it, that's a cult, not a movement. I said, thank you.
I really appreciate you and your input. And I thought that was such a brilliant comment. If you can not question a movement. It is a Colt. And that's the thing. I, it has become a cultish ideology, my opinion, I, a thousand percent agree with that because. If you are taught, you need to be quiet. Otherwise, we're going to hate on you.
We're going to come for you. We're going to attack you because that's what you see. You see women out there that have questioned it quite loudly and they have been attacked. Like all hell has come for them from doing it right. If that is. What is known amongst women that's what's known amongst the ranks.
It's like girl code don't you dare question feminism. Don't you dare speak up about it. Otherwise you're [00:29:00] anti woman. You are. You know, you're a hater on women. You are a misogynist, you are perpetuating the patriarchy in society. Bright. If you are ostracized for saying anything against the feminist movement, then I would say a thousand percent, it is a cultish ideology. And that is something that should be looked into.
That is something that should be scrutinized heavily. If you cannot question something. It is now a cultish ideology. Feminism is a cultish ideology.
Now let's look at the Wonka comment of the week. Shall we? This came from a guy who goes by.
Ben vet. Five. Ben Vettel five. This is what he said to me because I questioned the feminist movement. Does the conservative movement come with that abysmal nose job.
Say what now? Uh, never had a nose job in my life. This is actually the nose I was born with, buddy. Just so [00:30:00] you know. But this is what I said to him. Never had a nose job in my life, but sure. Ray, John, a complete stranger on the internet because they're questioning if a movement has gone too far, makes sense. These are the time of individualism, like, oh my God, you don't have to make it personal about somebody looks, but yeah, just to set the record straight. I've never had any plastic surgery done.
I've never, I don't even have Botox. I don't have nothing like that. I tried Botox once in 2017 in my forehead. I actually liked the effects of it, but didn't want to keep spending money on it. And I've never had it since. So I have no Botox. I've had no plastic surgery, nothing old, too. This is the face that I was born with.
It's just matured as I've gotten older and I'm in my thirties. So. Just to set the record straight. Not that I think there's anything wrong. If you go and have worked on you do UBU. I'm never saying that. I mean, I'm not saying that I never will get something done, but as it stands. No, this is all natural. I do get my hair colored though. [00:31:00] And I wear makeup.
I have makeup on right now.
Then we have a comment from Ricky, Ricky Lee, clear up. A feminist, once women to have the freedom and opportunity to choose how they live their life. The movement is not male-centered as a man. I am great. I am greatly benefited from feminism. I love and admire all the feminist women in my life. And fair enough. Fair enough. I don't, I don't have any rebuttal.
I'm not going to roast you. There's nothing to roast. Fair enough. That's absolutely fine.
Then we have lobster garden. Is this a parody? You have a voice because of feminism, you have no idea what it was like to be an adult woman in the seventies. Go watch some movies from the seventies to get a clue. I have to say, actually I have a voice without feminism. I don't believe that feminism gave me my voice.
Women were still standing strong in who they were prior to the feminist movement. Yes. Obviously there's been massive changes. I [00:32:00] understand that, but no feminism did not give me my voice. I completely disagree with that.
Then we have a comment from Steve Dow. There is a difference between feminism and misandry. It's important not to confuse the two because there are still inequalities that need to be addressed. That feminism is fighting for. That being said, there does seem to be a large amount of people that have confused the two, and there are some serious issues of rising from it. Yeah, well said, well said I have no nothing to refute that I he's well-spoken. Was respectful. And you're absolutely allowed to be on my page and say that.
Then we have MJ limps. Okay. With that. If these women could answer one question. What rights or opportunities are you lacking these days? Question mark. I'll wait, full stop. Yeah, I agree. I have to agree. I think modern feminism is honestly, I mean, I've made it clear before is honestly career [00:33:00] victims who are screaming for all of these rights that I think come on.
Come on at this point.
Now you are trying to just shove men down as far as you possibly can. This is modern feminism. I'm referring to.
And then there's a whole bunch of typical comments of like anyone PICU yet. No, it hasn't go outside. Another one. That's just, what, what evangelical Republic men tell you?
Another one said, feminists gave you the ability to spew this nonsense.
Then we have the miss 43, the men have had the rains since, I don't know when, why can't women give it a shot? Men have failed miserably. Yeah, I see you. And I see the world very differently on that. I don't see it that way at all, but that's the beauty of
freedom of speech and of discourse is being able to see things differently, being able to voice that and not be shut down.
So I appreciate that. You've come on my page and that you've said your piece, we [00:34:00] disagree and that's totally fine. And then just a Gothic nerd said, please don't parrot. The lies told by misogynistic. Men who feel threatened by women being seen as actual people worthy of respect for once This is also something I just, I don't see. I. My entire life. I have not seen a whole bunch of misogynistic men who are threatened by women being seen as people. Like that's a bold claim to make that me questioning the feminist movement is me just parroting, misogynistic men who are threatened by women being seen as people.
I, yeah. I find that a very dark way to view the world.
This dude here tried to roast me alpha Nord. Our alpha Nord. His name is Jesse Jesse. Man here. On behalf of the other men quit your innocent whining about women in. Man here on behalf of the [00:35:00] other men, quit your incessant whining about women. It only makes you look.
When did I want about women? It's yeah. That. At no point am I whining about women? I'm just saying, can everyone still being victims? Now the feminist movement to me is a career victim movement. I'm not whining about women. I'm not saying women are bad. I'm not saying women are evil. I'm not anti women.
I am a woman. I'm not whining about women. I just don't like the feminist movement.
Jen Jordan 4, 7, 9, 4 said, did your husband make you post this? That is something you see a lot that yeah, if you speak about the feminist movement, it's seen as your being controlled by a man. So your husband, your boyfriend, your father is the one that's obviously making you say this. No. It's me. I'm a woman.
I'm I speak for myself. I have a voice for myself.
Someone by the name of Matilda said, we are better than men. And this is my point. See people come at me and say, no, [00:36:00] there's no woman on earth. There's no feminist on earth. He believes they're better than men or believes that they should be paid more than men.
That's just you saying that you're making up shit, read the comments. There are definitely women that believe that they are better than men. They literally will spell it out for you. Just read the goddamn comments. I'm not making this shit up. This is a no, I'm not again. I'm not saying the entire feminist movement say this, like as in every woman that calls himself a feminist. But it is in the feminist movement at large modern-day feminist movement.
It is a thousand percent part of it where women, a lot of them do believe they are better than men. And a lot of them do think that they should have better rights than men and should be, you know, Uh, Yeah.
Just read the goddamn comments.
10 men, one nine. Five seven. Said, spoken by a handmaiden.
All right.
Here's another one. This one is K Elion T by the way, I went on her profile. It's private, [00:37:00] but her tagline at the top says doing more things, men won't like, well, that already tells you a lot about this woman. She don't like men. Like it's clear just by reading that, you know, she's going to have a spicy. Attack it men continually.
So this was her comment. I don't think we are better because I'm a feminist. I think we're better because I've met men. These are people that are driving the feminist movement. I'm telling you there there's a lot of men hating going on.
Another one queen Mary Elizabeth said it's called revenge.
Yes. A lot of modern day feminists have very revenge full. Even if yes, some probably do have reasons for, for their hurt. Right. But there's a lot of psych vengeance and hatred and bitterness and anger towards men. And that is what is driving this movement. And you, if you speak about the movement, if you question the movement, then that vengeance [00:38:00] that hate that, like just bitterness then gets turned onto you in full, for full force.
I felt it.
Then we have Scarlet Stallard. You need to work through whatever internalized misogyny you have. If this is seriously, how you view feminism, see that word gets used a lot. Gets turned on women, right? For your question feminism, you now have internalized misogyny. You are demonizing women, by the way, I've never demonized a woman.
You are demonizing women for voicing their disdain. Against a page. This is the most ironic fucking comment, by the way, I can't even get through this without having to button. This is so ironic. You are demonizing women for voicing their disdain against a patriarchal site society. That has been the cause of our oppression for centuries.
Why would we not be radical in our beliefs after men continually assault our agenda?
We liter last because we are women underpay [00:39:00] us in a professional setting, et cetera. So this woman told me that I am, I have internalized misogyny. And I am demonizing women because I've questioned the feminist movement. And she's saying that I'm demonizing women for voicing their disdain of a patriarchal system.
Is that not ironic? Is she not demonizing me. What like, yeah, just make it make sense.
Blissful yoga, healing arts. Tell me you've never studied political theory without telling me you've never studied political theory. You dumb motherfucker, you don't have to have studied political theory to question a movement like. Bloody earth. Can you be more fucking dumb? Who is this person? Yoga center in Virginia. God help you. There was one woman who really was not happy with me.
She goes by bubbly every day. And [00:40:00] I would, I would question that I don't believe she is bubbly every day based on her comment. First she said, did he pick you yet? Question mark. Whom I love did who pick me again? I'm not asking to be picked. If that's all you can say about someone who questions, the feminist movement. Surely you can come up with something more original than that, but then she said, And it was in response to somebody else's comment.
So someone else had already commented on my post. And then this chick, this bubbly every day, who is absolutely not bubbly every day, responded to her. And said posts like this literally make the world worse, but what's important to remember is this girl is broke. She's referring to me. I'm broke apparently desperate, lazy. And dying for attention, so she, literally anything to stir up controversy and Garnet clicks instead of getting an actual job.
I'm so sorry, people like her exist and that we all have to pay the price [00:41:00] for it. Social media can be toxic. Ms. Bubbly every day. Yeah, definitely not bubbly. And has, has come to the conclusion that because I've questioned the feminist movement, that I must be broke, desperate, lazy. Dying for attention, refusing to get a job. And. People like her, I having to pay the price. MI. My love that is a stretch. And then we have another funny one. We have raving Dubliner wrong and you should be thanking the feminist for your ability to show bare shoulders. Oh, my God. I think we've had some fun these way going through that post. That was just one viral post I, yeah, that was a lot of fun. There's some interesting people in the world.
And listen, I love to have discussions with all different walks of life. I actually quite enjoy it, but I've decided I'm not going to be responding to every single comment out there on my social media posts, because that would be a full-time job. Just in itself, but also that definitely was a baptism of fire [00:42:00] because. It also highlighted for me the need to not need to try to prove people wrong because they're not wrong, but also not need to have the last say.
But also I think the biggest thing is being comfortable in being misunderstood. You have to, if you're going to put yourself out there in line, if you're going to say controversial things, I discuss controversial topics, then you have to be comfortable in being misunderstood. So I just want to say thank you so much for popping in for comments chaos today, and we'll see you next week with a fresh batch of opinions.
Remember, keep your comments popping and I will keep the replies popping too.
